WPIC Beaver Valley Mental Health Services

WPIC Beaver Valley Mental Health Services in Rochester provides an extensive ambulatory continuum of care for adults and children. A 24-hour crisis service is available to respond to any psychiatric emergency. Traditional adult outpatient services are available for psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychological testing and care involving psychiatric nursing and therapy. We offer a pharmacy assistance program as well as an outreach program where psychiatric nurses provide focused in-home support and care for patients who are at high risk of relapse and those who have had difficulty adhering to their medication and treatment recommendations. Acute and non-acute partial hospitalization programs are also designed to treat patients needing a step down from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization but more than traditional outpatient. Our continuum allows patients to be served in the most appropriate level of care from outpatient to inpatient.

Outpatient services for children and adolescents are also provided and include psychiatric assessment and followup, psychiatric nursing, outpatient therapy, crisis, and family home-based services, an intensive in-home service for youngsters and their families to reduce inpatient hospitalizations or other placements outside the home.
